Colouring your hair is the quickest way to change your appearance and update your look. However, if you are wary of exposing your hair to chemicals, then fret not. We give you a round up of natural hair dyes that are easy to whip up at home and will give you naturally light, dark or red undertones without causing any damage.

For natural highlights- Lemon and chamomile tea
Method: Mix equal parts of lemon juice and chamomile tea in a bottle. Apply this mixture to your hair and leave it on for one to two hours. The results can be seen when the hair is exposed to sunlight. Apply this as often as you want to lighten your hair.

For dark brown colour- Brewed tea and coffee
Method: Brew strong coffee and tea, and mix them both together. To this, add 2 tbsp of coffee grounds and apply this on your hair. Keep this for at least 45 minutes before rinsing it off. You might need to repeat this several times depending on your hair texture and colour.

For a reddish tint- Beet and carrot juice
Method: To add a natural red tint to your hair, you can use either one or mix both of them together. Take 2 cups of the juice (depending on the length of your hair) and mix it with coconut oil to give your hair some extra nourishment. Apply it on your hair and leave it on for 45 minutes. After rinsing the juice out, spray with apple cider vinegar to seal the colour. Repeat this as many times you want to get a darker hue
