Just cleansing, toning and moisturising isn't enough especially with this scorching heat which threatens the skin with a variety of issues: burns, patches and rashes. To beat the heat and get that brilliant no make-up glow, you've got to eat right and stay hydrated. What you put in your body really influences your skin, especially during the summer. "Hydrate as much as possible. Well-hydrated, supple skin ages better. Water is important for your entire body so remember to hit the bottle," says Divya Mehta, co-founder of the skincare brand Epique.
So here's a list of summer foods you've got to start including in your daily diet for that glowing skin.

1. Cucumber:
It has an amazing cooling and refreshing effect on the body. Cucumber has a high content of water, which keeps you properly hydrated. It also contains silica, a mineral, which has anti-ageing properties.
2. Watermelon:
A fruit that is 90 per cent water, it helps bring your body temperature down. So just snacking on watermelon can work wonders for your skin. Watermelon also contains lycopene, which protects the skin against the sun.

3. Tomatoes:
Tomatoes contain lycopene and carotenoid, which protect the skin from sunburn and UV rays. Make sure you include tomatoes in your diet to keep your skin healthy and happy.
4. Turmeric:
With its anti-inflammatory properties turmeric is a magical spice to consume as it soothes inflammation and flare-ups. It also helps to heal skin breakouts and other injuries.

5. Coconut water:
It is full of electrolytes, which keep the body cool. Coconut water helps control sweat in the summer and drinking this magical, all natural potion is one of the best ways to keep the skin clear.
6. Cilantro:
Also known as coriander, it is a flavourful ingredient, which is often used for garnishing. Coriander has amazing detoxifying effects. Add a few sprigs of coriander to your bottle of water and watch your skin glow
